Vassilis Pavli (Psychologist/ Research Associate)
Vassilis Pavli holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology (BA Psychology, 2010) and a postgraduate degree in School Psychology (MA School Psychology, 2013) from the University of Cyprus. His three years duration postgraduate studies in School Psychology lead to the registration and license to provide psychological services as a School / Educational Psychologist. During his postgraduate studies, Vassilis achieved to receive a scholarship from the AG. Leventis Foundation, a scholarship which was based on academic criteria and volunteering, active social involvement. In 2014, after achieving a Leonardo Da Vici young practioners’ scholarship, he joined the Public Affairs department of IPPF, European Network in Brussels. At the department of Public Affairs, having research related duties he worked on the development of advocacy manuals, and in evidence based, comprehensive sexuality education practices for children and adolescents. As a trainer, he collaborated with different Cyprus based non-governmental organizations, such as the Cyprus Family Planning Association (CFPA). He worked as an academic officer at the University of Nicosia Online / Unicaf Organization, for the assessment and effectiveness of the induction module, the development of protocols and to provide student’s support in relation to their performance in the induction module. Vassilis is currently employed as a program officer at the Institute of Development. His duties involve organizing institute’s projects and trainings, and providing coordination assistance for the Master Program (MA) in Creative Arts and Animation. He strongly believes that psychology is a job field which can significantly contribute to a better quality life, for him, for others and the society in general..
